(Note Need to spend some time on this as Info is very conflicted)

Noble, Bushnel, Messenger, McNeal, Mayo, Cole, Gardner, Wadsworth and Blanchard. Mr. Chestine Miller was post chaplain.    (I have found the history of the 13th and it lists a Mr Joseph C Miller a Baptist Minister from Amboy Illinois so I have doubts as also the next year he is a Sheriff?)
1862-63                 Served as Sheriff of Phelps County
Assisted in organizing the 36th Regiment Missouri Infantry Volunteers, and was in command of Company B of this regiment for some time (note: failed to complete organization)
1869                       Large Library of law books was burned
1869                       Miller-Logan Murder Case - Logan claimed that Chestine Miller had seduced his daughter, and this led him to secrete himself and shoot Miller through the mouth. This disabled Miller for some time, but soon after his recovery Logan was waylaid and shot. A case was made out against Miller, but after a change of venue to Laclede County Miller was acquitted, as the evidence could not prove his guilt. A. Harris prosecuted, while the Bland Bros. defended.
1874                       Admitted to the Pulaski County bar.  8th & 9th Judicial Circuits he is the oldest notary public in the county
